Mission Statement

Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 4 and Needham Fire Rescue Company are dedicated to providing public safety services to area citizens that result in improved quality of life and peace of mind.  Our employees and members will strive to minimize losses and suffering through emergency service delivery, public education, public information, and community service activities.  We will provide service and treat those we serve and each other in a manner that is honest, fair, and unbiased; honor our heritage, actively participate in our community, and serve with integrity; strive to support the individual development, personal satisfaction, and pride of all members and employees; and endeavor to uphold the unique camaraderie and trust that is the fire service.  This is the goal of Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 4 and Needham Fire Rescue Company employees.

 

Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 4 and Needham Fire Rescue Co. are a progressive combination fire department located about 30 miles north of Houston, TX. The department was founded in 1973 and in 2004 began staffing with paid personal. 

 

Today we serve the communities of Harpers Preserve, Gleneagles, Montgomery Creek Ranch, City of Woodloch, Huntington Estates, Forest Hills, Carriage Hills, Lakeland, Northline Oaks, Tamina Community, Jacobs Reserve, Fosters Ridge and more.  While protecting these communities we have the lowest ESD tax rate in Montgomery County and an ISO 2 rating.

 

Staffing consists of 55 full and part-time paid staff and three (3) volunteers. Our command staff consists of a Chief, Assistant Chief - Operations, Assitant Chief - Administration, one (1) Training Division Battalion Chief, three (3) Battalion Chiefs, four (4) Captains, and nine (9) Lieutenants. Our full-time staff works two (2) days on and four (4) days off (48/96 shift).  All command, full, and part-time staff are Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) and Texas Department of Health Services (TDHS) certified.

 

We operate state of the art equipment with trained staff to meet the challenges of virtually any emergency situation. Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 4 and Needham Fire Rescue are a full service department providing fire, rescue, and first responder medical services for our community.

 

Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 4 and Needham Fire Rescue operate four (4) stations in our district. These stations consist of our Station 61 (Central Fire Station and Administration offices) located at 9430 State Highway 242, Station 62 located at 11831 Sleepy Hollow, Station 63 located at 14076 Horseshoe Bend, and Station 64 located at 15341 Lake Lamond Drive.  All stations are staffed 24 hours per day 7 days per week with state certified fire and medical personnel to provide first responder service in cooperation with Montgomery County Hospital District.

 

Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 4 and Needham Fire Rescue operate a fleet consisting of: one (1) 2015 Ferrara platform ladder truck; two (2) 2020 Pierce Engines; one (1) 2017 Ferrara engine; one (1) 2017 Reserve Ferrara engine; two (2) 2005 Ferrara tankers; two (2) Ford booster trucks (2011 and 2015); one (1) 2021 Chevrolet 5500 booster used for accidents, medical calls, grass fires, etc.; one (1) 2015 Ford F350 utility truck; one (1) 2018 Chevrolet Express maintenance van; one (1) Rehab trailer; and for disaster situations: one (1) inflatable boat; one (1) Humvee and one (1) Military 5T Cargo Truck.

 

Our command staff vehicles consist of: one (1) 2021 Chevrolet Suburban; one (1) 2018 F150; one (1) 2016 Ford Taurus; one (1) 2012 Chevrolet Suburban; one (1) 2020 Ford F250; one (1) 2014 Ford Explorer; and one (1) 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 truck.
